Roy, when I go "hunting" for critters and come across one, I back off and think about the best approach to avoid startling the subject and angle for composition.

I miss you buddy!

Selective focus is a challenge to me as I usually shoot at such high magnification that I strive for the most DOF.

Beautiful color and I love those eyes.

It's not too bad on focus. The wings are a little OOF, but the body is sharp enough. Beautiful blue in this critter.

Hello Gunn.

A lighter BG would have been nice, but the face is distinguishable enough as is. Sometimes we have to settle for what nature allows. Beautiful color and sharp detail on the butterfly.

An absolutely awesome shot. The sharpness of the detail and vibrancy of the colors are amazing at this magnification.
