Male Striped Albatross

Post by stingrey »

Hi all,

Been a while since my last posting.
Very busy with my studies and family commitments.
Will take this oppurtunity to great all a Belated Merry Christmas and Advance Happy New to Year.

A Male Striped Albatross caught around my neighbourhood. This is a very unusual angle as I caught it with wings open which very rare for this species to do.

Comments and suggestions are most welcome.
kind regards,

merry xmas and happy new year too Rey.

This is a lovely picture, I like the way this is exposed/processed, so that the butterfly is not very bright.
Details as always in your pictures, even in these small 600 pixel versions. The framing/crop could have left a bit more space around the insect.

A very Happy New Year to you too Rey :D

You know when I read the title to your post...well, I though it was a real "Albatross!" The butterfly caught me off guard. A very nice photograph though Rey. Well taken indeed! :o

Sue,
Thanks for your comment.

Mike,
Still very busy with my studies thus find less time in surfing but most of the time in front of PC.
Anyway once in a while must find time curing my itchy fingers.
kind regards,
