   This is an outstanding shot! :D  I have seen a lot of spiders posted on here but these are...well quite unusual. Being an ex-sailor my imagination does not have far to go. Great photograph Paul. :D

That is one creepy creepy spider  It is not posing like that for nothing, somehow it must make it a better Predator and thats the name of the game. Wonderful shot Paul

Thanks for your comments. :D

I had not planned anything like what happened here: serendipity. When I saw the spider abseiling from the ceiling, coming to rest in a position where I could shoot (handheld, leaning on a balustrade), I just shot away as the spider was spinning ever so slowly, remaining steadfast in this position (I guess it is a defensive pose).

When sorting through the images later, I realised that I had a perfect match of front and back, so I put them together.

Thanks for looking.

Its a great shot Paul and sounds as though you were in the right place at the right time. Very suggestive to say the least and quite artistic IMO. :D

Hehe, this is extremely cool Paul, one very unusual spider shot. Great idea with the montage, well done!
