What shall I do with the spider after normal observation?

Keep it as a pet, because spiders return to their breeding ground when you set them free?

Found me a huge wolf spider

Post by nephiliim »

Hey folks,

Just wanted to let you all know that I found a huge wolf spider. It and it's spawn and kin, were terrorising our house last couple of days. Also found a couple of 1 cm kids, and some eggs.

I'm keeping it in my terrarium for observation. It's body is about 3 cm long, including the legs span it might even be around 6 cm.

I'll show you some photo's soon.
Sometimes smaller is better!

correction, it's a european house spider, I was confused by the markings on it's but, from a distance it looks like a wolf spiders' marking, but if you look closer it's more like a wafer.
