Ran across a fun and interesting web site called "Buglopedia."
http://www.bugsurvey.nsw.gov.au/html/buglopedia.html It is satisfactory for identification of aquatics and a few other insects. Also it is interactive and fun to mess around with. You can even "build your own bug!" Great for kids if you have them. Give it a visit.
