Microscopium - Microscopists Fair, Shalford, UK

I visited the Queckett Microscopy Club's fair at Shalford near Guildford here in the UK yesterday, with Simon, a budding microscopist I met via the Yahoo forum - thanks for being chauffeur, Simon! I thought you might appreciate a brief report. There was a wide selection of all sorts of stuff from antique brass stands, eyepieces, objectives, condensers to lab glassware and equipment all in the village hall at Shalford. The people there were very friendly and helpful and I managed to pick up a book on rotifers. I also talked myself into joining the Queckett Club, so must now make an effort to attend their London meetings, especially as I work in London.

An excellent morning out, with the added bonus of a beer on the way home
