The eggs hatched!

This afternoon I looked into the jar where I had placed the egg cluster I posted last week....

... and I noticed they had just about all hatched out. They appear to be a species of shield bug. They had all crawled to the edge of the egg cluster and huddled together.

The first one looks like a bunch of open pill bottles. Amazing to see that those little bugs came out of them. Really sharp images there Charlie :D

Well Doug... they will now have to fend for themselves in the great outdoors that is my backyard! :wink:
