Female Stag Beetle
One of my rare macro exploits. I found this beetle dead under some bookshelves in our living room. I used an add-on simple biconvex lens from my scrap box with my Canon Powershot S50 and a microscope lamp for illumination. The beetle was too big to get much in the field of the microscope, so I had to go for macro. Pity it wasn't a male - they're really spectacular!
Graham
Seems as though I have seen one of these guys before Graham. Tuff looking bugs they are. A very nice macro indeed.
