Spectacles

Post by Kenv »

I was reading the lesson on microscopes on MSL, it was saying that if you wear spectacles to be sure to wear them when viewing in the microscope because whilst the eyepieces will compensate for poor eyesight they will not compensate for astigmatism. I wear trifocals and I found them hopeless for the microscope so I had taken to viewing without wearing spectacles at all. After reading this I found out an old pair of monofocals which I used to use for playing the piano. I put these on and low and behold I saw the image on the microscope so much clearer than I had before! One lives and learns!
