Centipede
I've never photographed a centipded before, but I found this one on a fencepost while looking for native Hawaiian insects at night. I don't know much about centipedes, and haven't even made a start at identifying this one--If anyone can shout out an ID, or even a good hint, feel free to do so!
The curvature of the fence made for just too much DOF, so his tail end isn't quite in focus, but I maintain it is pretty darn good for 2x focused by flashlight!
unknown Centipede
180mm macro lens with 2x teleconverter.
1/250th second @ f/20
ISO 160
tripod mounted
flash (obviously)
approximately 2x
Very slight crop, this is 95% of image

That is a good shot of a centipede for sure Mike but you would not find me out in the middle of the night taking photos of "crawley" things. Especially in Hawaii, tropical areas have real bugs in them Then again I never thought I would be taking photos of a spider either.
