Last weekend it was somewhat cool, but the Sun was out, and I had ants on the brain--I headed toward the most convenient local colony of harvester ants from last year, and sure enough they were out and about! I also got some shots of other subjects, though nothing spectacular. But I'll be back out again this weekend looking for more...Woo hoo!

Best of all, from y'alls perspective, I won't beinside the reptile house shooting rattlesnakes for awhile! :D

It's the same here in the Netherlands Mike. Espescialy ants are coming out of the cold, dark ground to find food.

I shot my first ant-macro's yesterday afternoon, think it's better if I get a digital camera with macro lenses soon, I don't know what the results are on film.
Sometimes smaller is better!
*nodge nodge :D*

Yes indeed, it is warming up in the mountains of North Carolina too Mike. :D I am on the look out for lizards, bugs, flowers, anything I can photograph. I may have to turn on the porchlight and hang up a strip of flypaper and see what I can catch for the new stereomic. I also had to mow the grass yesterday. :(
