Last weekend it was somewhat cool, but the Sun was out, and I had ants on the brain--I headed toward the most convenient local colony of harvester ants from last year, and sure enough they were out and about! I also got some shots of other subjects, though nothing spectacular. But I'll be back out again this weekend looking for more...Woo hoo!
Best of all, from y'alls perspective, I won't beinside the reptile house shooting rattlesnakes for awhile!

Yes indeed, it is warming up in the mountains of North Carolina too Mike. I am on the look out for lizards, bugs, flowers, anything I can photograph. I may have to turn on the porchlight and hang up a strip of flypaper and see what I can catch for the new stereomic. I also had to mow the grass yesterday.
