This post is not only, but especially for Charles Krebs.
I too found those two vacuole pores on Paramaecium bursaria, as Charlie posted some time ago.
Two pictures of an Individuum, the first on a lower focal plane,
the other focused a little higher. I found Individuums with 1 pore at vacuole 1 and two on the other,
and two pores each as well. Very nice to discover !

Two very intesting images Gerd. The pores of these vacuoles are never seen by those of us, especially me, who never get into the extream limits of light microscopy. Thanks for the post and a very good compliment to Charlies past images of them too.
