It was hugh (made a rotifer look small), and when it moved, it jerked more than anything, but it could jerk around fast. I got this image when he was resting. He took off again shortly after.

What a shot :D Don't know what it is either Sue but you sure got yourself a good photo of it. A midge larva maybe? :)

If you have your Pond Life field guide, look on pg 90, Copepods. In the lower right hand corner you will see your critter. Moraria duthiei :)

That could be him. I did not recognize it when I looked the first time because I did not see the exact same image with the legs :roll:
