Can you ID this algal species?

The algal species shown in the picture below is fairly abundant in my 5 gallon aquarium. Looked through my reference but could not ID this one – any ideas?

Crawled the PI server but found only "close to look alikes." Unusual specimen. Maybe KenV may have a reference on it in one of his books. :)

Hi Ron and Ken - I did have a search and the book shows a fair number of similarly shaped algae, unfortunately they are all drawings so its next to impossible to get the ID without the colour.
