Big prints

Danny, Michael, and I (Tom) couldn't be happier and more impressed with our members and friends! It would be wonderful if we all got to know each other better. Here's a forum to post images and short autobiographies of ourselves as well as any other info you would like to post about yourself. We are looking forward to meeting you all!

Big prints

Post by Batman6820 »

I shoot with a 6 megapixel digital camera and capture my images at 17 megs. I am interested in making some very large prints on a 44 inch epson printer. The final size should be around 64 inches long. Any ideas on how to keep the image quality high?

I would not worry about resolution versus print size. There is no limit to the size of the print you can make. A print viewed and the correct viewing distance (equal to the diagonal of the print area) will look the same regardless of the print dimensions. It has to do with the fact that angular resolution holds constant.

Go for it. Nothing like large prints.
