Mosquito wing 2 (40X objective)

Post by Charles Krebs »

Here is a small edge section of the wing from my other post. This time I used the 40X.

Image

I had to combine 15 images (Helicon Focus) in order to get adequate DOF.

Aw...come on Charlie. We know you got that off of the kids pictures on the kitchen fridge. Wonderful Charlie, how much more detail could one ask for. Great! =D>

Hello Charlie -

As usual, a brilliant set of shots on what would otherwise be considered a so-so subject, or at least overlooked.

I can't decide which one is 'best' - each provides so much info as well as being technically at the very leading edge, (no pun intended) of photomicrography.

When are you publishing a book?

All the best,

Mike

It is so sharp that it is almost like being stung by the mosquito!

Brilliant!

Awesome shot Charlie - amazing DoF. Mike's question is a good one - your outstanding images deserve wider circulation. If you do publish put me down for a copy!
