Random crystal DIC

Post by gslaten »

For several months now I have been trying to come up with an "inexpensive" way to obtain DIC images in transmission with my Zeiss Universal. I have epi DIC objectives, and some experience with epi DIC. However, this is one of my more successful attempts at transmitted light DIC with epi objectives.

Thanks for looking,

Hello Gary,

Fantastic shot! The definition on this one is razor sharp and it certainly looks as though you have transmitted DIC under control.

All the best,

Mike

Well this is a nice image Gary but I know absolutely nothing about what you are doing here. DIC I have read about some but not really familiar with. It is a sharp image however and looks good as far as I can see. :D
