Down the Rabbit Hole (funnel web spider)

Same spider and web as I posted yesterday....

One leg of the funnel web was anchored to a small fallen log. That wasn't obvious at first sight, and on my initial approach to this guy, I bumped the log (I'd planned to sit on it while I got at least some of my pictures!). This jostled the web, and Mr. Spider ran for the exit. I captured him here hiding in his hole. At times, I've seen these guys turn around to face outwards, but either this fellow hadn't had time to do that yet, or he just considers it more appropriate to "moon" potential predators!
