Experiments with a +10 double element diopter

Post by gunn »

the end result doesn't seem so unsharp BUT through the viewfinder it was almost impossible to focus because the image seen was very blur! this was not so when i used a 50mm in the reverse, and the 50mm was probably a +20 diopter. I'm not talking about the image as captured by the sensor but the image through the viewfinder.

Well Gunn, don't know what to tell ya. The first image looks great, lots of detail and very sharp. Color is good too. :D The second one looks a little blown. But, I have never used any of the mentioned set ups you have so I really can't give you any feedback on diopters or reversed lenses. :(
