Wulfenite crystals...

Post by crocoite »

Hi all

Been taking more mineral shots getting ready for an upcoming talk that I will be giving. Every now and then, one comes up extra special. This is one of them (to me anyway!). It's wulfenite, a lead molybdate, from the Whim Creek copper mine in Western Australia.

Taken the usual way - via Sony DSC-P150 through Olympus microscope, although lately I've been using a tripod for extra sharpness. Field of view is 4 mm.

and my setup...
