It sure does look like a Triprion sp. Good angle for this species, I think.

I don't know about forum policy but no problem here, Mike.
Here's another version, using your USM settings.
I did shadows/highlight, trying to get rid of the shine!
No saturation added.

Thanks Rik, Mike. Yes, it is a White's treefrog from Southern Papua/Indonesian New Guinea. Here is the unprocessed version: http://img53.imageshack.us/img53/504/dsc3185unp2vg.jpg I'm not a Photoshop whiz and sometimes I think I'm just overdoing it. It's fun to play around with the software but I thi...

My, it's an expensive gadget, isn't it? We could probably figure our a way to make one for a lot less (although the quality may be questionable). A combination of used/broken EOS body, regular reverse adapter, some cables can be used, I would think. Maybe a used auto extension tube with the necessar...

Nice shot, Mike. It's not easy shooting hand-held at such magnifications.
I did a similar shot once and then cropped the middle part of the face to make it an abstract :D

I always wonder how they manage to stay separate!
:D
They look like Ahaetulla prasina, a common treesnake we have here as well. I think ours grow to about 5-6 ft or so but they mostly stay around 3' or so.
They used to be quite common around golf courses but I haven't been looking for them lately.

Good catch of the tongue...they always stop flicking their tongues when I point my camera at them!
BTW this does not look like a Varanus rudicollis as the snout is not pointy enough and a bit too wide. It could be one of those new Varanus salvator types from the Philippines....

It's always good to see a nice photo of the colourful Sulawesi retic, Mike. BTW this is probably the type of retic that holds the Guinness world record for the longest snake. I think the record was for a 32' 9.5" retic from Gorontalo, Sulawesi (Celebes) island http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/con...
