Wonderful shots!! I have often encountered ciliates , esp. paramecium approaching each other and lying next to each other before finally melting for conjugation. All the time I saw the cilies touch, I couldn´t but think of exchanging caresses.Crazy, isn´t it?

Hello folks, I would like to draw your attention to the fact, that all members of the Nassulida family do feature oral basquets.And there is not only Nassula, but i.e Chilodonella, which I reckon very likely in this case.The exact species is a tricky thing which I wouldn´t venture having a photograp...
