Minolta D-image Z1
Does anyone know where I can get an adaptor for this piece of kit to attach to a standard microscope?

Hello and welcome aboard
I know of only one commercially available adapter for a Minolta Z1. This is the MaxView 40 Plus adapter, http://www.scopetronix.com/mvp.htm, but it is pretty pricey. The adapter ring to fit your camera to the MaxView eyepiece can be found at http://www.scopetronix.com/attachkits.htm.
The issue that arises with attaching the Minolta Z1 to a microscope is the large diameter of the camera's taking lens in comparison to the small diameter of the microscope eyepiece and/or relay lens. When the diameter of the camera's taking lens is larger than the microscope eyepiece and/or relay lens, vignetting can occur. The more closely matched the lenses, the less the vignetting. The MaxView adapter uses a large diameter relay lens to help avoid vignetting.
A close friend was kind enough to give me a MaxView adapter. As soon as I have time to get things set up I will write a review of the adapter and post the review in the articles section of the www.amateurmicroscopy.net front page.
Best regards,
